読むジョークをそのまま語るのはリサイタルのようだ。
それを”無料”でかしこまらないものにするには、
笑うことの好きな相手に、ピザがあれば、あるいは、
ピザの話題になっていればベストだが、Here’s
something pretty good.などと言ってから、例えば
次のように始める。

A man walks into a pizza place and orders a small
pizza to go.
The cook asks/They ask him if he would like it cut into
four pieces or six.
He thinks for some time and then says, “Just cut it
into four pieces. I don’t think I’m hungry enough to
eat six pieces.”

この男性、働き過ぎて燃え尽きた（burnt-out）感じ
もあり、ジョークを終えたら、ひとこと、
It’s kind of funny but it might happen to me, too.
Who knows?
相手も、
Me three. He seems burnt-out. He needs a vacation.　

前回の読むジョークと比べて、時制、スタート、
非美文調など、すべて「語る」というより
「話す」を前に出している。

落ちのセリフをどのように言うのかも、その人の
ユーモアの色合いが見える。
