Whew!!!

10-10オンライン講演を無事終えることができました。久しぶりに、マーク・トウエインの愛した怪談THE GOLDEN ARMを語れたのも、ヒゲが落ちなかったのも僥倖。ラジオ同様皆さんの顔も声も聞こえないけれど、見慣れた顔がスクリーンに・・・これがまた怪談。オンラインでの講演を経験出来て、良いハイヌーンでした。広島CC、ご参加の皆さんにMany thanks!!!

リンカーンの”声”が聞こえるスピーチ

現在の米国を語る語彙・表現の材料としてリスニングにも。３０秒ほどでスタート。C.SPANで流れたJoe Bidenのスピーチ。高校時代、ケネディーの就任演説のあと、リンカーンのゲティスバーグアドレスを覚えようとしたとき、その声の記録が存在しなかったことから、ペースが取れず、難航したことを思い出す。その特に有名な部分が同じゲティスバーグから大統領候補の声で蘇る。
